1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the platform, and limited information from third parties:
- Account information: Name, email address, password (hashed), phone number (vendors only, not shown publicly), profile photo.
- Vendor profile data: Business name, bio, service categories, city, portfolio photos and videos, pricing packages, availability.
- Booking and transaction data: Event details, booking dates and amounts, payment status, payout records.
- Messages: Content of messages sent between customers and vendors through our platform inbox.
- Identity verification: If you use Stripe Identity for ID verification, Stripe processes your identity documents directly — we only receive a verified/rejected status, not your document images.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, cookies, and usage analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and provide the Eventra.team marketplace and booking platform.
- To process payments, hold funds in escrow, and release payouts to vendors.
- To verify vendor and customer identities for safety and fraud prevention.
- To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payment receipts, status updates).
- To respond to support enquiries and resolve disputes.
- To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.
- To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
3. Contact Privacy — Protecting Both Sides
Eventra.team deliberately hides vendor phone numbers and email addresses from public profiles. All communication between customers and vendors must happen through our platform messaging system. This protects customers from being pressured into off-platform payments and protects vendors from unwanted contact. We do not share your personal contact details with the other party to a transaction.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only as necessary to operate the platform:
- Stripe: Payment processing, escrow, payouts, and identity verification (see Stripe Privacy Policy).
- Vercel / hosting: Infrastructure to operate the platform. Data may be stored on servers in the United States.
- Email delivery: Transactional emails are sent via our email service provider.
- Law enforcement: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety of users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and platform functionality. We may use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some platform features may not function correctly as a result.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for legal and financial compliance. You may request deletion of your account by emailing us — some data may be retained where required by law.
7. Your Rights (PIPEDA / Privacy Act)
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent for certain uses of your data (subject to legal and contractual obligations).
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never store card numbers. Despite these measures, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Eventra.team is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use of Eventra.team after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
